2005 International Autoharp Champion Cathy Britell has a wonderful time presenting concerts that take you 'down home' to the Pacific Northwest and give you a delightful glimpse of the warmth and humor and musical freshness to be found the upper left hand corner of the map. She plays everything from traditional fiddle tunes to celtic airs to classical pieces, popular songs, and beautiful original tunes on a variety of instruments. The immense fun she has playing music spills over to audiences in an infectious way.

Cathy has performed in "concerts in the park", performing arts camps, weddings, receptions, floating dinners, "apres-ski" engagements, school programs and traditional concert settings. She has also been invited to present concerts and workshops at numerous music festivals, including Northwest Folklife Festival, Oregon Folklife Festival, California Autoharp Gathering, Arizona Autoharp Festival, Willamette Valley Autoharp Gathering, and Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering, the Whidbey Island Folk Festival, the Alaska State Music Educators Convention, the Tumbleweed Music Festival. and others.

One of Cathy's specialties is making parties, picnics and dinners musical happenings. She'll provide background music for your dinner or reception, and then lead a songfest with your guests, with provided songsheets and sound system, that brings everybody together in a spirit of fun and celebration, with music apropos to the time of year and age group of the audience.
